SESSION 19 — The Names Beneath the Stone

Date: Saturday June 2–Sunday June 3, 2057

Primary Locations: The Veil → Temple of the Unseen Sun → Alexandria Institute → Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

Session Overview

Session Nineteen begins in the shadow of Gansu.

The party has returned to the Veil after the nuclear crisis, bringing refugees, relics, grief, and far too many unanswered questions with them. The board meeting is paused. The world is not. The Veil has become a sanctuary in more than name, and the people gathered there now look to the party not only as protectors, but as proof that survival is possible.

Then the temple beneath the Veil wakes.

Michael uses the Staff of Ra and his own power to restore the Temple of the Unseen Sun to its original glory. Light spreads through the stone. Hidden locations appear across the walls. Everyone present gains the first structure of ritual magic. What had been a refuge becomes a holy mechanism, a restored place of power, and a map pointing toward other hidden temples.

But the session does not stay in wonder.

Tariq breaks open Yusuf’s blocked memory and discovers the first night of the Master’s control. Yusuf had been used to force Naomi Brooks out of her coma and compel her to interface with military systems. Naomi, through Yusuf, breached the defense networks of China, Russia, and the United States. The word Gansu appears at the end of the stolen memory like a verdict.

The nuclear fire was not distant anymore.

It had passed through their friend’s hands.

Then Naomi dies.

Her cybernetic systems fail under what Dr. Kovács can only describe as something like a powerful computer virus. Her body is retrieved from the Alexandria Institute and brought to the Temple of the Unseen Sun. The party considers resurrection, repair, and desperate invention, but the risk is too great. Naomi is cremated at the Veil beneath the sun, with the entire community present.

By the time the party reaches the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, the session has already become about legacy: who is remembered, who is used, who is buried, and who still answers when ancient blood calls.

Inside Hatshepsut, the party finds the chamber where the Blade of Authority and the Belt of Giants were recovered under the Master’s control. The fresco names Narmer, division, the Blade, the Belt, and the Pillars of Creation. Tariq studies the scaphite true-name scroll and confirms what the campaign has been circling for weeks: the passenger list was deliberate. The bloodlines on Sawiris’ plane were chosen because they were connected to the Master.

The session ends not with an answer, but with a map of old power lighting under their feet.

Which, naturally, is how normal people spend a Sunday after attending a friend’s funeral.

The Story So Far

Session Eighteen ended with the board meeting suspended after the nuclear strike on Gansu Province. Chinese missiles struck Chinese soil. Russian missiles were destroyed by American orbital deterrent satellites. The United States revealed that its own arsenal had also been targeted, proving the event was not ordinary war but sabotage.

The party returned to the Veil, where rescued storm-touched refugees were beginning to settle into the sanctuary. Michael’s Staff of Ra was unlocked. The Babylonian dragon queen tablets were identified. The lost Library of Alexandria cache was traced to a modern Egyptian military base. Yusuf returned from a missing night with no memory of what the Master had used him to do.

Session Nineteen begins with that missing memory waiting.

Major Events & Key Moments

1. The Temple of the Unseen Sun Is Restored

The party descends beneath the Veil into the Temple of the Unseen Sun.

Michael brings forward the Staff of Ra and spends a hero point to shape his healing power toward the temple itself. As before, he glows when he enters. This time, the light does not remain confined to him or the staff. It spreads across the walls, filling old stone with restored purpose.

Tariq records the moment, though Michael remains absent from digital media. A floating staff and spreading light are still impressive, but the Archivist refusing to appear on camera continues to be the universe’s strangest privacy setting.

The restoration takes three hours. Later when Tariq reviews the recording he only has three hours of bright light and no sound.

When it is done, the temple has returned to its original form and glory. The Staff of Ra is drained of its charges, but the result is far greater than repair. Hidden locations appear upon the walls. The party understands that five other hidden temple locations may now be studied and deciphered from this place, though the full translation will require time, celestial context, and careful work.

Most importantly, everyone present gains Magic Ritual. The temple does not merely reveal old knowledge. It teaches them how to begin reading it.

2. The Veil Becomes a Sanctuary in Practice

The party returns from the restored temple ravenously hungry and joins the Veil community for dinner in the courtyard.

The people of the Veil are mourning Gansu. Chinese candles burn in remembrance. Conversations circle the same helpless questions: whether the Americans are telling the truth, what the orbital lasers mean, what China and Russia are hiding, and whether the world has only seen the first strike.

There are no good answers. Just news fragments and fear. Humanity, after thousands of years of civilization, remains undefeated at staring at catastrophe and asking whether someone is lying. The answer is usually yes, but civilization presses on, apparently out of spite.

During dinner, the party realizes something more personal. The residents of the Veil sleep easier because the party is there. Their presence has become a shield in the minds of the people around them. The sanctuary works because someone powerful is watching.

The former militants who stayed behind have integrated into the community and now help guard it. Their plan is not built around killing attackers. It is built around evacuation, cover, and forcing enemies into surrender or retreat.

The Veil is no longer just a place the party owns or protects. It is becoming a people.

3. Yusuf’s Missing Night

Mei Lin calls to report that Naomi Brooks is unwell and being taken back to the Alexandria Institute medical bay. Naomi has headaches, balance problems, nausea-like symptoms, and difficulty explaining what is happening to her. Mei Lin is cautious, not panicked.

At the Veil, the party turns back to Yusuf’s missing time.

Rana reads his aura and confirms that he is not currently under manipulation. She boosts the party’s Wisdom to help resist any backlash. Tariq uses extra effort and a hero point to break through Yusuf’s mental block.

What he sees is worse than anyone wanted.

Around midnight, Yusuf entered the medical bay. Through some trick and the expenditure of power, he became invisible or undetectable. Naomi stirred from her medically induced coma and rose from her bed.

Then Yusuf controlled her.

Naomi interfaced with the medical computer equipment while Yusuf stood over her, forcing her to act. Tariq can see that the power being used resembles Yusuf’s own mind-control abilities, but twisted into something he would never willingly do. Naomi should not have been awake. She should not have been using her powers. The process clearly harms her. It goes on for hours.

At the end, Tariq catches one phrase in an East Asian script.

Gansu Province.

4. The Worst Version of What They Wanted

Yusuf remembers.

Through Naomi, under the Master’s control, he broke into the defense networks of China, Russia, and the United States. China and Russia fell. The United States was attacked, but not fully defeated. America's systems were not on the Thoth Network.

The nuclear sabotage is no longer an abstract global event. It is connected to the party through the Master’s use of Yusuf and Naomi.

Yusuf is horrified and tries to take responsibility. The party begins debating the Master’s reasons. Maybe Gansu contained a threat. Maybe the Master wanted to stop a satellite launch. Maybe he wanted to strengthen Egypt by destabilizing other powers. Maybe he wanted Yusuf to stop focusing on China by making China’s horror too large to ignore or too ruined to pursue.

The Game Master makes the pattern clear through Yusuf’s realization. The Master attacks desire.

Sawiris wanted to save people and survive. The Master answered by entering through that desperate opening. Sawiris was angry at Michael and wanted him off the plane. The Master made that into a mind wipe. Yusuf wanted something done about the horrors in China.

The Master answered with nuclear fire.

He gives people the worst version of what they wanted.

That is not strategy alone. It is cruelty wearing the mask of fulfillment.

5. The Pharaoh’s Helmet

Later, while the Veil settles into the uneasy night, Tariq completes his crafted helmet.

He uses a hero point to perfect the work, creating a gold-toned titanium helmet in stylized Egyptian pharaonic design. It is light, precise, and deliberately hidden from the Master’s awareness.

The helmet enhances Tariq’s intellect, will, and mental perception for a single encounter once activated. Its final defensive aspect is defined by the Game Master in one of those phrases that makes everyone at the table immediately reconsider their life choices:

Tariq is immune to being unmade.

That should not be a necessary sentence.

It is now a necessary sentence.

The helmet becomes Tariq’s first major crafted answer to true-name-level danger.

6. Michael Learns to Wear Other Faces

Michael turns to his new amulet: a silver cord with a heavy ibis pendant. When activated, it becomes a press pass and allows him to assume a true alternate form.

To practice, he asks David for a mirror.

David makes one properly, because apparently normal mirrors are for amateurs. He calls upon the Scabbard of the Square, works with air and sand, and transforms the material into a fine silver mirror framed in intricate bronze metalwork.

With the mirror in place, Michael practices the ritual of transformation. When he changes, everyone watching instinctively loses focus. They blink. They miss the moment. When they look back, someone else stands there.

By the end of the night, Michael has two stable identities.

Nonso Malambo, a thin Nigerian nursing aide.

Dr. Marcus Acousa, a middle-aged Egyptian researcher associated with Aether Forge and AI development.

The forms are physically real, not illusions. But Michael’s mind and inner self remain unchanged. That matters. It means he cannot safely impersonate someone like Naomi in front of the Master, because the face may change, but the soul does not. Michael and Tariq will use their connections to create paperwork for Michael's two new identities.

7. Rana and the Stone Listener

Rana brings Hassan El Shafik into the restored Temple of the Unseen Sun.

Hassan hears stone, but understanding it requires effort. The whispers are overwhelming unless he pushes himself hard enough to make sense of them. Rana asks for his consent and links her mind to his surface thoughts so she can experience the impressions more directly.

Together, they listen.

The stone recognizes the other hidden temple locations as pools of power. The impressions eventually resolve into something Rana can understand: ancient elemental castings by Egyptian priests of the past.

The discovery deepens a pattern already forming around the campaign. Ancient Egypt did not merely build monuments with stone and labor. It built through leylines, ritual, celestial alignment, and living magic. The party begins to suspect that Sawiris’ original flight path may have moved from node to node along old leyline routes.

The past is no longer buried. It is infrastructure.

8. Naomi Brooks Dies

Sunday morning begins with the Alignment of Purpose in the Veil courtyard.

Most of the Veil attends. Michael’s Staff of Ra is recharged by the prior day’s temple restoration and the ceremony. The sanctuary breathes together.

Then Yusuf asks to speak privately.

He tells the party he caused what happened in China. He wants to call Vakeman Chou and confess.

Rana and the others push back immediately. Yusuf was controlled. The Master used him. Any confession would mean revealing the Master, the control, Naomi’s role, and the full impossibility of what happened. Then all their phones ring.

Mei Lin. The Institute. The doctors.

Michael looks through the medical bay remotely and sees emergency chaos. Naomi is surrounded by doctors and equipment. Mei Lin says Naomi is dying. A moment later, she is dead.

Rana contacts Mei Lin telepathically, then speaks to Dr. Kovács. The explanation is technical and horrifying. Naomi’s cybernetic systems fused, melted, and shut down. The failure damaged the flesh of her brain. Kovács suspects something like a powerful computer virus.

The party understands. Naomi survived the initial violation. She did not survive what it left inside her.

The defensive systems she was forced to breach were likely built to destroy attacking machines. They could not know the attacker was also a person.

Naomi Brooks dies because the Master used her as a tool and left her to pay the price.

9. Bringing Naomi Home

Rana refuses to leave Naomi at the Institute.

If there is any chance of helping her, it should happen at the Veil. If there is not, then Naomi deserves a funeral, not dissection.

David and Yusuf teleport to the Alexandria Institute. Mei Lin is waiting. Dr. Kovács guides them to Naomi’s body.

The sight is terrible. One physical eye looks as if something detonated behind it. The cybernetic side is fused and melted, metal dripping where function used to be. She is no longer connected to equipment.

David says nothing to the doctors about his plan.

He teleports himself, Yusuf, Mei Lin, Naomi’s body, and the entire gurney directly into the Temple of the Unseen Sun.

The party considers possibilities. Rana can heal flesh. Michael might be able to repair technology or treat the virus as disease in an object through a power stunt. But if the virus remains and spreads, it could infect another system. It could even threaten Michael.

There is no safe path. The party chooses not to experiment on their friend.

10. Naomi’s Funeral

David spends an hour in prayer and reverence, crafting a ceremonial urn inside the restored temple.

Then Naomi is brought into the courtyard beneath the sun.

The ceremony echoes the funeral held for Hassan the Giant. Everyone at the Veil attends. Mei Lin is there. Layla is there. Isabella is there. The refugees and residents gather, not just to witness death, but to understand what this community is becoming.

Naomi was not simply an asset, a board member, or a future AI architect. She was their friend.

The funeral lasts for hours. During it, the people of the Veil begin to understand something hard and necessary: they will have to protect one another, and this will not be the last time they gather around ashes. Tariq places a coin on Naomi’s urn. The act is small. That is why it matters.

11. The Road to Hatshepsut

After the funeral, the party turns toward the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut.

The board meeting resumes Tuesday. They have time, but not much. They debate teleporting directly to the chamber where David and Yusuf recovered their items, but the complex is large, repetitive, and difficult to navigate by memory alone.

Michael appears as Nonso Malambo, one of his new alternate forms. Rana can still see his true inner self, which confirms that the form is physically real but does not change who he is.

A brief idea arises: could Michael impersonate Naomi for board purposes? No.

The face might fool cameras. The mind would not fool the Master.

Before they leave, Tariq receives a message from his sister. She is in Cairo, safe with British assistance. She passes along that Pembroke sends his best. Rana asks Tariq to send her an image of Ahmad Farouk and see if she can help locate his body safely, since his legal name may not be the name they know.

Helping people pays off.  Horribly inefficient system, but occasionally satisfying.

12. Entering the Mortuary Temple

The party teleports first to the parking area near the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut.

The place is almost empty. After the nuclear crisis, public sites are shut down. Egypt feels close to martial law. Security is present, but tourists are gone. The party can see enough of the complex to teleport from the parking area into the shadows of pillars near an entrance.

They arrive near the Osiride statues of the upper terrace, massive figures roughly thirty feet tall.

This time, they see the site differently.

The stonework is not merely ancient. It is preserved through something the modern world forgot how to name. The construction, alignment, and durability all point toward magic woven into architecture. Leylines. Rituals. Living stone. Ancient engineering that was never only engineering.

They avoid the worst of the security cameras, which are sand-damaged, degraded, and not functioning well enough to clearly identify them. The party slips inside.

13. The Paths of Cults and Families

Inside the temple, David and Tariq begin identifying hidden symbols.

The complex contains markers for multiple Egyptian religious cults, family lines, chambers, and paths. Because everyone now understands ritual magic, the markings make more sense. These were not decorative. They were instructions for those who knew how to read them.

Family crests point to burial paths. Other symbols mark religious routes. Still others appear to connect to leylines.

The party realizes that searching randomly for Library of Alexandria clues would be useless. The better question is which families, cults, or bloodlines would have preserved that kind of knowledge.

When footsteps approach, the party moves deeper into the complex and finds stairs leading downward.

David touches the wall and invokes postcognition.

14. David Projects the Past

David’s postcognition becomes visible through illusion, allowing the party to see what he sees.

He looks back to the era of Alexander and watches funeral processions move through the temple. Family sigils are matched to chambers. Bodies and offerings are carried to the correct entombments. Some families bury their dead. Others leave offerings to maintain the bloodline.

The vision teaches the party how the temple functioned. It was not only a monument. It was a bloodline machine.

Layla helps interpret the markings. She identifies symbols that had not yet been translated: magical signs tied directly to the leylines. If someone wanted to walk the leyline path through the mortuary chambers, the path was marked.

Then David shifts the vision forward.

He sees the party’s earlier visit, the one made under the Master’s control. Layla went downstairs. David and Yusuf went toward the chamber where their items were recovered. Tariq and Layla had been mapping the leyline path and identifying burial sites. Others moved at super speed to places that lit up for them.

They were not wandering. They were harvesting.

15. The Chamber of the Blade and Belt

The party enters a large chamber, and memories return to everyone except Michael, as this is his first time here.

The room is a stunning display of time, kingship, division, and sacred inheritance. Leylines light up through the walls and lead the eye to a thirty-foot fresco.

Two things are missing from it. A blade. A belt.

The inscription records a time before counting, when the river had not yet chosen its master and the Black Land was divided. It tells of the man later called Narmer, born before crowns, before Pharaoh, before unity. He was not born to rule.

He was born to end division.

The word division rests above the missing sword.

The writing below describes the Blade of Authority: not forged by flame, humming like a drawn bowstring, its markings changing when read. The blade knew the language of both lands.

So did Narmer.

The inscription also reveals that the bearer of the belt or blade can travel to the Pillars of Creation.

The party realizes what happened during the lost days. The proper bloodlines entered the chamber. The fresco answered. The blade and belt became real. Rana gathered the belt, which later passed to Yusuf.

The sword claimed David.

16. The Scraphite and the Names

David realizes the answer has been sitting with them for some time: the scraphite scroll.

It is not a simple list. It is genealogy. Family lines. Noble blood. Names layered through names. The first step into true-name magic, because apparently the universe looked at family trees and decided they were not dangerous enough.

Tariq puts on his newly crafted helmet and invokes Thoth before reading.

It takes time. The scroll is dense, repetitive, and dangerous. After an hour, Tariq finds his own family bloodline. His true name is not written there, but the bloodline is. The revelation follows.

The bloodlines on the list are royal or noble. The names tied to the plane all share a structure connected to the Master. Everyone chosen for Sawiris’ plane, except Michael, the pilot, copilot, and stewardess, carried a bloodline connection to him.

There are more names on the list than were on the plane.

But every name connected to the Master was on that plane.

The contest was not random. It was selection.

17. Rana Maps the Living Temple

While Tariq reads, Rana runs.

Using analytical vision and super speed, she moves through the Mortuary Temple to understand its deeper structure. She identifies the sanctuary of Amun to the west, the solar court and divine birth reliefs tied to Ra and Amun-Ra, and the northern region connected to Hatshepsut’s claim as daughter of Amun-Ra.

The solar court contains a grand altar to Ra-Horakhty. Doorways and niches show the ankh being handed directly to Hatshepsut, symbolizing divine life and authority.

Rana also identifies the importance of Punt. The trade represented here was not only gold, myrrh, frankincense, ebony, ivory, and exotic animals. Those things mattered, but now she sees the hidden layer: magical components, materials capable of holding power, and masterwork goods that could become artifacts.

The temple was a religious center, a burial center, a place of birth, a place of death, and a trade-memory of magical civilization.

It also points outward.

The five cults represented here likely correspond to five hidden underground temples nearby, each tied to one of the represented divine powers.

18. The Belt Receives Another Stone

Michael and Yusuf walk the leyline path.

Nothing answers Michael. He feels like a stranger in a strange land. No fresco wakes for him. No bloodline calls.

Then Michael notices Yusuf’s belt glowing.

A new gemstone has appeared on the Belt of Giants, roughly the size of a chestnut and placed in an inconvenient spot, because ancient magic apparently shares design principles with bureaucratic forms.

Nearby, they find a small funerary chest before a family crest. It contains minor jewels and offerings. Something from it has attached itself to the belt.

David studies the gemstone and determines its function. For roughly an hour, Yusuf can shift the belt’s Strength bonus into Constitution. His Strength drops by the same amount his Constitution rises, then later reverts. In practical terms, the Belt of Giants has gained a Fortitude answer. Given what Luca has been doing to them, that is not subtle.

19. The Temple Still Has More to Say

After two hours with the scraphite, Tariq understands that the Master used the prior expedition to mark locations for later. If someone of the correct bloodline is brought to the correct chamber, more may be revealed.

Michael detects souls around magically protected sarcophagi tied to names on the bloodline list. The protections are real, but the party does not believe they would stop a manifested Master.

Rana returns with locations worth examining. The party regroups inside Hatshepsut with more leads than answers.

The session ends there. Not outside the temple.

Not safe. Not finished.

The stones have started talking, and unfortunately, the party is getting good at listening.

Character Spotlights

Rana Al-Masri
Rana continues shaping the Veil as sanctuary and spiritual center. She works with Hassan El Shafik to hear the stone, confirms Yusuf is free of manipulation before Tariq enters his memory, refuses to let Naomi become a specimen, and helps lead Naomi’s funeral beneath the sun. At Hatshepsut, she uses analytical vision and speed to map the deeper sacred structure of the temple, uncovering the solar court, divine birth reliefs, Ra-Horakhty connections, and the possibility of five nearby hidden temples.

Tariq Mansour
Tariq acts as Pharaoh, craftsman, and dangerous scholar. He welcomes Hassan into the Veil, breaks Yusuf’s memory block, completes the pharaonic helmet, and later uses it to study the scraphite true-name genealogy. His discoveries confirm that the plane passenger list was deliberate and that the selected bloodlines were tied to the Master. This is the kind of academic breakthrough that makes sane people close the book and go outside. Tariq, naturally, keeps reading. Tariq is a man transforming.

David Hassan
David turns ritual into structure throughout the session. He creates the mirror that allows Michael to master alternate forms, retrieves Naomi’s body from the Institute, crafts her ceremonial urn, and later projects postcognitive visions at Hatshepsut so the party can see the temple’s ancient funerary use and their own lost expedition. His connection to the Blade of Authority is finally grounded in the Narmer chamber, giving the sword a clearer mythic origin. David is already an expert in a world newly reunited with magic.

Yusuf Khalid
Yusuf’s session is painful and central. He learns that the Master used him to control Naomi and trigger the nuclear sabotage that destroyed Gansu. He wants to confess, but the party reminds him that he was controlled. He helps retrieve Naomi’s body, reviews Veil security, and later discovers that the Belt of Giants can accept new stones, gaining a way to shift strength into endurance. Yusuf ends the session carrying both guilt and a stronger defense against the kind of force that helped break him.

Michael Adeyemi
Michael restores the Temple of the Unseen Sun, giving the party ritual knowledge and revealing hidden temple locations. He practices with the ibis amulet and develops two usable alternate identities, Nonso Malambo and Dr. Marcus Acousa. During Naomi’s crisis, he checks the medical bay remotely and helps assess the risks of cybernetic repair. At Hatshepsut, his lack of bloodline response reinforces his outsider status in the Master’s selection, while his ability to notice Yusuf’s belt changing proves useful anyway. Not being chosen by ancient evil remains a weird flex, but a valid one. The Master would be surprised to know that Michael learned the truth and still chose to fight.

Naomi Brooks
Naomi dies as the delayed cost of the Master’s nuclear sabotage. Forced through Yusuf to interface with defense networks, she appears to have been struck by countermeasures meant to destroy attacking machines, not living cybernetic people. Her death ends the AI project she had only begun and turns the Master’s cruelty from theory into grief. Her funeral marks a major moment in the Veil’s formation as a community.

Layla Kareem
Layla continues becoming essential to the artifact and temple threads. She remains with the party at the Veil, supports security efforts through Yusuf’s duplicate, and later helps interpret the hidden symbols at Hatshepsut. Her archaeological knowledge lets the group recognize leyline paths and family markings that would otherwise remain buried in plain sight.

Hassan El Shafik
Hassan steps further into the story as the Stone Listener. His ability to hear stone becomes useful in the restored Temple of the Unseen Sun, where Rana helps him interpret the ancient echoes of Egyptian elemental castings. He remains nervous around Tariq and Rana, but his gifts may prove critical as the Veil grows.

GM Notes & World Narrative

Session Nineteen is about the cost of ancient systems waking up inside modern bodies.

The Temple of the Unseen Sun is restored, and that restoration changes the party. Ritual magic becomes formalized. Hidden temple locations are revealed. The Veil gains not only a sacred center, but a restored engine of memory.

Then Naomi dies because a cybernetic mind was forced into war machines never designed to distinguish code from personhood. The Master did not kill her with a sword or spell. He killed her by turning her gift into infrastructure and letting modern defense systems finish the work.

That matters.

The campaign’s ancient and modern threats are no longer separate. True names, leylines, cybernetics, nuclear networks, family trees, AI, funerary chambers, and orbital weapons are all part of the same battlefield now. Which is untidy, frankly. Villains used to have the decency to pick a theme.

Hatshepsut confirms that the ancient world had its own map of power. Bloodlines were preserved. Offerings maintained lineages. Leylines guided sacred movement. Hidden temples connected to gods, birth, death, trade, and divine authority. The party’s previous lost expedition was not random looting under mind control; it was a targeted recovery operation using bloodline keys.

Most importantly, the scraphite confirms that the plane was chosen. Sawiris’ contest was a cover for gathering bloodlines connected to the Master. Michael’s exclusion from that pattern makes him stranger, not less important.

The River is remembering its first shape.

And the party is starting to realize how much of themselves was already written into it.

Loot, Clues, & Reveals

Items Acquired
The Temple of the Unseen Sun is restored, revealing hidden temple locations and granting the party Magic Ritual. Tariq completes his pharaonic helmet, which enhances intellect, will, and mental perception, and protects him from being unmade. Michael develops two alternate forms through the ibis amulet: Nonso Malambo and Dr. Marcus Acousa. David creates a silver and bronze ritual mirror. Yusuf’s Belt of Giants gains a new gemstone that can shift its Strength bonus into Constitution for roughly an hour.

Clues Found
Sawiris’ research on Luca was gathered by his organization but not personally viewed by Sawiris. The other hidden temples are leyline-connected pools of power. The original Sawiris flight path may have followed leyline nodes. Yusuf was used to control Naomi and breach the defense networks of China, Russia, and the United States. Naomi’s death was likely caused by a computer-virus-like countermeasure encountered during that breach. Ancient Egyptian structures used magic, leylines, and ritual architecture. Hatshepsut contains hidden cult paths, family crests, and leyline markers. The chamber of the Blade and Belt ties Narmer, the Blade of Authority, the Belt of Giants, and the Pillars of Creation together. The scraphite true-name scroll identifies bloodlines connected to the Master.

Reveals or Twists
The Master gives people the worst possible version of what they desire. Naomi Brooks dies from the delayed consequences of being forced into the nuclear sabotage. The Temple of the Unseen Sun can teach ritual magic and point toward other hidden temples. The plane passenger list was deliberate: every selected bloodline, except Michael and the flight crew exceptions, carried a true-name connection to the Master. The Bloodline paths at Hatshepsut can reveal relics or chambers to the proper people. Protected sarcophagi still hold souls tied to bloodline names. The Belt of Giants can continue developing through attached stones.
