B A T T L E

The upcoming Challenge of Azar should be very intriguing. I am planning on fighting with lance and sword from Horseback. However that depends on whether my barding is done in time. I dont want to go through that many fights unprotected. In that case, I shall be going at with blades, but with a bow at the ready if I can take advantage of it. Perhaps we should all post our initial battle plans, or at least describe a tactic you are thinking of.

(Briar) I will be using my cloak to create distractions. No one will be expecting a swarm of crows!

(Chadwick) If I can get on an opponent for more than 10 seconds, I can unleash three attacks with MY 'Samular' short swords.

(Eden) If I can get opposite you Bordane, I can sneak attack with the reach staff. Hopefully you can draw the attacks from the beast, I'm not very well armored like you are SWEETIE!

(DM) And it Azar's Challenge not Azuth. No worries.

Bordane: I plan on trying to keep moving, keep... "dodging" (wink wink). And Eden, I'm not that well armored, it's just all skill, baby. Oh, Damien, I'm not certain but I haven't seen anything that says one person has to keep the cursed item. Perhaps, to create confusion, we could pass the item amongst the Company?

(Eva) It does say the item returns to it's finder. I don't think we can hand it off due to it's cursed nature, though it wouldn't hurt to try. I plan on staying back with a crossbow and heal people as needed. If we can pick up a wand that would really help us out.

(Wayne) I'll have divine favor on my side- so expect a full on assault from me. I don't trust my luck from horseback. Perhaps I could pair with Eden or one of the brothers.

(Griffith) I've been thinking of late- what would be more exciting from a spectator's point of view?

The only group bigger than ours is that Black Sword group- which number ten- they fight three times their number. And they draw crowds each time.

I see it being multiple groups taking on multiple groups in a kind of team deathmatch. That seems to excite the masses who paid to be there.

Tauron- Do you mean that we should fight with the Black Swords in the arena and compete with them? Or do you mean we should split into two teams and tag team the rounds of the challenge?

(Griffith) I just think that we will be fighting, what? five groups of monsters? And of those, its multiple groups coming out at us to fully utilize our numbers and maximize crowd excitement.

I don't think we will be fighting the Black Sword any time soon, unless we prove to be unruly tenants in the dungeons.

Bordane: Perhaps Damien and I could have Lazlo, our manservant, get us a wand o' healing. And yes, the Black Swords only appear when they empty out the dungeons.
